Lactate Level

Lactate level is a sepsis-lab default.

Remember to ALWAYS send lactate level whenever an infection is suspected.

Send lactate level within the first 3 hours of suspecting sepsis, preferably during the first hour.

If the lactate is ≥ 4 mmol/L, it must be repeated in 2-4 hours.
